We have been producing beer in Siena for over 10 years, along the Via Francigena. Our beer is zero km, the result of the genuineness of the territory: about 75% of the barley we use as raw material is produced on the Sienese hills, between Siena and Pienza, and malted at the farm of one of our partners in Buonconvento.
The brewery houses our 5 hectoliter plant with temperature-controlled fermenters and a section dedicated to our barrels selected for aging in wood
Diana is the name of the mythological river also mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy which, according to legend, flows under the city of Siena but is also the name of the guardian goddess of springs and streams, according to the Latin cult. For this reason, in our brand, we decided to depict it as a woman, accompanied by the fundamental elements of beer production: water, hops, and the ear of barley. Its circular shape represents our agricultural soul, we start from sowing to get to the glass, a long journey that could not be done without the fundamental work of our members.
We started production in July 2014, receiving the "Oscar Green" award from Coldiretti Giovane Impresa in the same year, for our commitment to the development of the territory.
In 2016 we received the first recognition for our beers, the first prize for Ester in the Honey Beers category at the Unionbirrai Beer of the Year competition.
Since then, our constant search for quality and our commitment to enhancing the territory has led us to obtain the following results:
